Learning to Overcome Imposter Syndrome

Anyone else experienced imposter syndrome before? As I grow in my business there continues to be these moments - totally out of my comfort zone and the negative self talk is super loud “who are you to teach on this or lead this?! There are a million other women more qualified or are doing this better.”  Anyone relate to those voices?

Being at the edge of my comfort zone is where the growth happens, so I have learned to lean into the uncomfort and not let the “imposter syndrome” stop me from moving forward. But it still takes a lot of inner awareness and work each time!

A few things that help me when this comes up;

  1. Fear is my copilot not in the driver seat - I have found fear will always be here, it is my choice if I let it run the show or just here for the ride.

  2. Feel the fear and do it anyway - one of my coaches reminds me of this over and over “do it afraid.” There will always be resistance and uncomfort - lean into it and on the other side is often the breakthrough.

  3. Reach out for support; This is why having a coach or community to cheer you on in these moments is so important. You got this!!

  4. Reboot; A reboot is something you read every day to reboot the thoughts and beliefs you have. For example; “I am confident, I am worthy, I am an amazing speaker, my business flows with ease, I am in no rush, everything is happening at the perfect time, I have everything I need in this moment and I am fully taken care of!”
