What Matters to You?
“If you don’t ever stop to ask yourself what really matters to you, you’ll unconsciously organize your life around filling it with the things that matter the most to your parents or your partner or the things that matter most to our culture as a whole. And you’ll never actually get the chance to live your own life.“ @katenorthrup
THIS sums up so much of the work I do in coaching.
Partnering with women to create lives that light THEM up.
Often women are coming to me feeling disconnected, burnt out, and overwhelmed in their life. Looking at their day to day and seeing obligations, the list of to do’s and the calendar filled of commitments to please others..
These decisions over time may seem like no big deal, but one day adds up to a week, to a month and years go by, and all of a sudden you look around and think “Is this my life?” “Is this what I want?” “Where am I in all of this?”
This is where I love diving into the questions;
“What do YOU want?” What would light you up?” “What does an ideal day look like for you?” “If anything was possible what would your life look like?”
Some of the things I have partnered with women on this year;
-Leaving her full time job in tech to write her cookbook
-Buying her dream home now that she is an empty nester
-Launching her coaching biz and creating a community for women
-Creating an electric and passionate marriage - falling more in love with her husband after 10 years of marriage
-Selling the house to take their kids on the road to travel in an RV
-Leaving her old company to go to one that feels more aligned - even though she was in a top position
-Dating again after ending a long term relationship and learning to do it with play, fun and feeling empowered
-Saying no to potential clients, working less and having a schedule that feels aligned and honors her priorities in life
-Creating more ease, peace and freedom in her life, no matter what is going on around her
Do any of these resonate or give you a little tingle inside? I am curious what whisper you have on your heart of what you want to create in your life?
And my favorite question...what’s in the way of having that?
