Taking Time to Reflect
Something I dive into with women I work with is noticing the stuff they are doing out of obligation and tolerating in their lives.
Why this practice is so important to look at is; To make room for new, we need to clear out and become aware of where our time and energy currently is going.
If we have a life full of obligation, it starts to feel numb, disconnected and muted down. Like we are living someone else's life. It starts blocking feeling fully alive and deeply connected with ourselves and others.
Here are some of the journal prompts that have been powerful to reflect on for me for clearing out;
What are you withholding?
What are you tolerating?
What are you doing out of obligation?
What are you getting out of these things? What is the fear of letting them go?
This of course can bring up a lot of resistance to make changes, because we are then invited into; setting boundaries/SAYING NO, asking for what you want, receiving from others.
Two more questions to reflect on;
Who would you be if you let go of these things?
What could you do with the open time?
The more permission we have to be fully ourselves and intentional where we spend our time, the more freedom, peace and alignment we feel.
