How to Prioritize Self Care
To prioritize self care I have seen having community and support is so important. For me other things can become “more important” than honoring the time I set aside for myself, so I need the reminder; what is possible when I give myself this time. I know now the quality of my life goes up; I have more energy, the quality of attention and work I give to my business is 100 times more, I am more patience and appreciative for my husband and I feel so much more peace on a daily basis (to name a few).
This is something we make a priority during our time together for @theconnectedwoman. I wanted to share some of the ways the women are using their alone time and taking care of themselves.
Booked a 60 minute massage in the middle of the day
Morning walks, weekend getaway, taking more time off work
Read a book outside in the sunshine
Went on a run
Lot’s of short naps
Took a nap
Dedicated time to work on my own business
I took a long nap, I needed it.
(LOTS OF NAPS HAPPENING :) )
I planted flowers, stood in the sun and took deep breaths
Journaling more frequently and meditated for the very first time by myself
Deleted social media off my phone for a weekend to unplug
Took a bath and got my hair done - Really listened to my needs and what I wanted
You may be thinking.. I could never have that. And I promise you I’ve been there and so many other women I support. And my question always is; are you willing to try and see what could be possible if you gave yourself 5% more time for yourself?
